Mena Alexandera Suvari, born in 1979 is an American model, actress and fashion designer. Born on 13 February 1979. She began her modeling career in 1990. She soon shifted into acting following appearances in television shows like Boy Meets World or High Incident. Her film debut came in the documentary Nowhere. After her performances in American Beauty (for which she was awarded a BAFTA Award) and American Pie that attracted greater attention, she began the transition to major parts. The next time she appeared was in Loser (2000) in which she starred alongside American Pie actor Jason Biggs. Later she played the lead character on the screen in Sugar & Spice (2002). Spun and Trauma, a thriller movie from 2004 was her second appearance. In 2004, she appeared in the HBO drama Six Feet Under. She was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Awards in for 2005 in the category of Outstanding Ensemble. In 2008, she included in a variety of films, like Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh or the movie adaptation of The Garden of Eden. Suvari is the modeling model for Lancome cosmetics as well as print ads for Lancome Paris Adaptive and has been featured in several magazines and fashion blogs such as Vogue.
