Her mother was Cynthia Louise Bissett vice president of mobile provider Verizon. Joseph Anthony Germanotta Jr. is her father. He's director of a company on the internet and businessman. The family she grew up with was Catholic and she grew up in the Upper East Side in Manhattan. Her parents enrolled their daughter at the Convent of the Sacred Heart, a religious elitist institution. The girl was a lover of music from the time she was a child she learned to play the piano and at the age of thirteen, she wrote her first song. She took part at open mics. Her favorite singers included the Queen of Pop, Michael Jackson Madonna, David Bowie. When she finished high school she entered the Tisch School of Art at New York University to study music. But after completing high school she enrolled in the Tisch School for Art at New York University in order to learn about music.
